Home → About Us → History HistoryMatricus was initially established as the US arm of the UK company Matrics, founded in 1987 by a team led by John Campbell. Its initial thrust was to address the mixed signal design needs of the electronics industry. The concept has developed into a group of companies which follows today the same umbrella principles of integrity and commitment to deliver mixed signal designs to the highest levels of quality and professionalism. Matricus is independent of external interests or investment and has developed into a company with international presence and reputation. Its customers are located throughout the US, Europe, Australia and the Pacific Rim with operations opened recently in South America. Matricus is a foundry-independent company, so that the silicon source appropriate to the application can be accessed. From early programs using 5.0um CMOS and metal gate technologies, it now regularly works at 0.13um and below and with variants such as SiGe and BiCMOS.
Despite the dynamics of the industry and the corporate structure of the group, all the original founders of the original team remain in the group.
