The engineering team of the Matrics Group has a wealth of experience, much stretching back over the past forty years, back to the days of rubyliths and before the days of any computer aided design tools. The landscape has changed, though the skills and training of the engineers has kept pace. Indeed, more than that, since in many cases their innovative ideas have acted as catalysts for advanced features in technology and tools.
Developments have covered many application markets, from automotive to computers, medical, telecommunications, military, consumer and industrial. All require systems knowledge and digital circuit development but also expertise in basic analog building blocks such as PLL’s, in bandgap circuit design, in analog to digital conversion (ADC); in power supply conditioning, and ultra low current design.
Matricus has been fortunate to be involved at the very early stages in many key programs and technologies, implementing early rfid IC’s for example and more recently being involved in developing high density magnetic RAM.
Silicon technology experience covers a broad spectrum. High voltage applications at, say, 100V require devices of special construction and wide geometries, whereas high-density logic not only requires the most sophisticated of software and often warrants geometries of 0.13um and below.
