Utilities

Overview

A number of programs and files are available to support the principal modules of the LAYTOOLS system. The programs fall into two categories, namely those that extend the functionality of the main modules, and those that provide customized data to enable the main modules to be used efficiently.

In the first category there are such tools as a database manager which provides straightforward direct access to layout databases. A number of data base format conversion programs are also available as well as general database utilities.

In the second category fall such items as pre-designed standard layout databases and structures (cell libraries) as well as proven verification files (run-decks).
