History

Matricus was initially established as the US arm of the UK company Matrics, founded in 1987 by a team led by John Campbell. Its initial thrust was to address the mixed-signal design needs of the electronics industry. That concept has developed into a group of enterprises that follows today the same umbrella principles of integrity and commitment to deliver mixed-signal designs to the highest levels of quality and professionalism.

Matricus is independent of external interests or investment and has developed into a design resource with international presence and reputation. Its principal customer base is located the US, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.

Matricus is a foundry-independent company, so that the silicon source most appropriate to the application can be accessed. From early programs in the 1980's using 5.0um CMOS and metal gate technologies, it now regularly works at 0.13um and below and with technology variants such as SiGe and BiCMOS.

Despite the dynamics of the industry and the corporate structure of the group, the group is still led by the founder, John Campbell.

There is no truth to the rumor that the Stock Market crash on Black Monday, 1987 was the result of the founding of the Group!
